Automated encryption/decryption of slack

Hi, I recently started out on freelancer but have a lot of experience writing chrome extensions and think I would be a great fit for your project. I am currently a full time professional software engineer at Microsoft and have developed several chrome extensions as my first few freelancer projects. I have already implemented a basic prototype of what you are asking for here: [login to view URL]!2845&authkey=!AN_Sac95ff0X_AY&ithint=file%2czip If you download the zip and install it in your browser and then go to [login to view URL] and start sending messages they will be automatically encrypted (and then decrypted so you see them in plain text). You can verify the functionality by communicating with another user who does not have the extension installed and they will see "protected:{encrypted message here}". Since I havent been awarded the project yet I didn't bother implementing the functionality to allow the user to define a password so right now all users have the same hardcoded password (thus anyone with the extension can read anyone else's encrypted messages). If you accept my bid I'll be happy to polish it up and add the remaining functionality. This seems like a really cool project and I look forward to the opportunity to hopefully work with you! (fair warning, once you try out the extension you should probably uninstall it because otherwise it will be automatically encrypting all of your messages :) Thanks! Mike

I already have idea how to solve this, I have some experience with making Chrome extensions, mainly for my own needs, so this won't be problem for me. As you can see on my profile, I have good background in Computer Science. I took a course on my University in "Security in Systems of Electronic Finances" and passed it with A, so encryption is no strange to me. I have one question about this part of your project description: "I want a Chrome extension in JavaScript (only!)" Does it mean I can't use jQuery or any other javascript library for this project? I mean, it's not problem, it would just make little more job for me.
