Contract Template Drafting

We are a group on solicitors and barristers in the UK that are launching a new online legal venture in the New Year. The site will , provide small and mid-market companies in the UK with access to fixed priced legal services, business start-up packages, and the ability to purchase precedent legal template contracts ("Template Contracts") at realistic prices either as one off Template Contracts, or as a membership to all Template Contracts in a specific area of law. We have accumulated about 1,500 Template Contracts between us over our years of practice and we are looking to make about 800 of those available for resale on the website - we would provide these to you to assist your drafting. The Template Contracts that we have are cover a wide area of business law and we are looking for lawyers with an in-depth knowledge of English Law to get the precedent template contracts up –to-date legally, and drafted in, where possible, plain English ready for uploading to our website. The areas of law covered are: Acquisition of Company Agency Distribution and Franchise Bribery Act Compliance Cancellation Breach Variation and Novation Commercial Contracts Company Secretarial Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Consultancy Corporate Data Protection eCommerce Employment Health and Safety Information Technology Intellectual Property International Joint Ventures Introducer and Commission Agreements Late Payment and Legal Action Power of Attorney Services Information Technology Standard Terms and Conditions of Business Sub-Contractor and Self Employed We would also require explanatory notes to be provided for the customers use with each Contract Template. Remuneration: We will pay either on a price per contract basis, . The royalty is our preferred method of remuneration, but we would additionally contract the author to keep the Contract template up-to-date.
