Hello, I bided on this project because I was involved in a similar project for a restaurant here in Romainia. What I have done for them was to implement the whole ordering system made up by a server with a sql database(holding the menu items and other info) and 2 android client apps designed for tablets. One of the apps is meant for the clients and has the following features: - displaying the menu items(by this I mean all the products available:food, drinks,.. ) available for ordering from which the client can select the quantitiy of each menu item what he wants to order and when he has decied than he can place the order. - each of the menu item by clicking them will show a picture of the product and some description for it - also by selecting the a menu item there is a recommendation system for that menu item - rating system for the menu items, after ordering the menu item the client can rate it - facebook integration, after ordering the item the client can automatically post on his wall what he has ordered - waiter call, client can call a waiter - multiple language support The other app is designed for the waiter serving in the restaurant having the following features: - display all the orders that the clients make on the other app - display all the waiter calls For further details, pictures and a video demo of the apps please let me know if you are interested.
