I need to develop an app (for iphone and possibly also for android and blackberry) based on google maps where users can get audio information about the places they are close to (driving, walking). The app should have a backend allowing the admin to publish audio files of max 60" (media format to be chosen) which are then geotagged on the google maps. The audio files should be categorized (ie history, culture, events, etc.) in order for the users to decide which category they want to activate on the map (all or just few) by modifying their profiles. Users must register to use the service and their data must be stored in a db. Users can choose facebook or twitter connect to register and/or to share their experience on their social networks. When users open the app, they are recognized on the map (through gps or others) and they can then play the audio files close to where they are simply by clicking on the point of the map where the info is geotagged (different colors for different categories) and/or activate a playlist which plays all audiofiles closer to the point where the user is (of the chosen category). Each audio file is structured in the same format containing: title, geographical position and a 60" description. The same info will be available in plane text to be published on the map. The system should be structured to support further upgrades like: - letting a subset of users to insert new audio files to be moderated before final publishing - enabling special categories of audio file for advertising purpose (ie restaurant or others) which have an expiration date - sharing their personal information with other users in the same area and enabling live audio chat amongs them - counting the number of "views" for each audio file and enabling a ranking based on popularity More info will be provided to the interested suppliers.
