Hello. I'm a high school senior and the vice president of my school's student body. This summer I came up with an app to make student life more convenient. The only problem is, I can't code. The app I came up with is extremely simple. I have included a few of the pages that I mocked up using photoshop. I have also included the resources (navigation bar, back button, etc) that I want you, the coder, to use when creating my app. all those materials are included in the files attached. The mockups will give you a good idea of what the app is supposed to accomplish, but I will also explain the features below:
The first button is for "school info". If the user clicks this button, It will bring him/her to another page. The first three buttons on that page will allow you to call a few offices in the school. For example, if the user clicks "Main Office" he/she will be calling the main office. I have also include an image, in the resources attached, that resembles a phone. I have included all the phone numbers in the attached microsoft word document. All buttons that are attached to a phone number will have the phone image. All buttons that attach to an email address will have a mail image. The next four buttons on the "school info" page will be attached to the email addresses of four school administrators. I have included all the email addresses in the attached microsoft word document. Therefore, those buttons will have a mail icon on them. If this is unclear, you can take a look at the mockup of the "CT Science Page" that I attached.
The second button on the home screen will be for the schools bell schedule. Certain days in my school have different schedules. In my school, we typically run on a 9 period schedule. On an ordinary day, the user will then click "Ordinary Schedule" and he/she will be taken to a page with the ordinary schedule. on an advisory day, the user will click "Advisory Schedule." I have included images of the schedules.
The third button is "contact teachers." This is perhaps the biggest feature of the app. after clicking that button, the user will be taken to another page that lists a few of the school's educational departments. The user will than click on the department that the teacher he wishes to contact belongs to. after clicking on that, a page with all the teachers from that department will appear and each teacher will have an email icon next to them. once the user selects the teacher he/she wished to contact, the email application will pop up and he will be ready to send an email to that teacher. If this is unclear, please take a look at the CT Science page that I have included. It's just an example, but it should clear things up.
The fourth button is "nearby restaurants." In my school, students leave for lunch and go to some of the nearby restaurants. some students like to call before they leave to place their orders. If the user clicks this button, he/she will be asked if they want to choose a delivery restaurant or one nearby. From there, a bunch of restaurants that I included in the microsoft word doc attached will be listed with the phone icon next to them. If the user clicks a restaurant, a call will be placed to that restaurant.
The fifth button is "website". If a student clicks that button, he or she will be redirected to the school districts website ([login to view URL]).
The sixth button is "suggestions". If a user clicks that button, an email window will pop up addressed to the suggestions email [login to view URL] is where users can leave suggestions so I can make the app better when I update it.
All the info you need will be included in the microsoft word document I attached. Looking at the mockups will also make the whole project more clear. some of the resources I included will look a bit different from the mockups, such as the navigation bar. I want all the pages to be set up as a table view because some pages have up to 15 buttons.
Thanks for reading and lets get started!
