Advise on Mobile App Hosting in India

Hi All, I am designing a new Mobile App Service (like [login to view URL], [login to view URL]) for Indian Market. Though my users will be in India , I am investigating an option to locate mobile API, mySQL back end servers at ISP in EU region (UK, Germany). Unfortunately I have not worked with Indian infrastructure projects. I am not sure how latency and response times for mobile users in India will impact when servers will be based in EU. I am looking for someone who have put number of mobile app, webservices live in Indian market. You will be thorough on network setup, how latency and other things add up for mobile user. Note, This job is not for doing actual work on servers but suggesting an Architecture for implementation.
