Customer Upload/Download

we would like a facility for customers to upload a file linked to their order from the account information page. We need to be able to downlaod this file and upload a corresponding file back into their account so that both files are downloadable by the customer. The file upload can not be completed during the checkout process as the file will not be generated at that point in time.
