We need someone to develop a small application that will run from a CD-ROM. Currently this client permits students to connect their computers to the school LAN from their dormatory rooms. However, it is always very cumbersome and time-consuming for the students to set the correct TCP/IP settings (assign a unique ID, set IP settings, etc.) to get their computer to connect on the network. We are seeking bids for a CD-based software application that automatically and reliably creates the proper settings to establish the network connection for Win 98, 98SE, ME, NT, 2000, and XP clients based on a set of (changeable) default settings specified in your program's preferences section and an algorithm that assures unique client IDs. We will supply the required settings upon request. Your bid must include a price, a completion time frame, and a list of what exact information you need from the client.
