**Advanced Search Catalog CGI & Script Abstract**
The purpose of this project is to provide a list of products or a product count based on a query string for the Catalog Viewer 2.0. This project is divided into two components. The first is the Script which will read database elements and populate a shared memory resource. The second is the CGI which will parse the input string, read the values from the shared resource, determine which products match the input, and return the desired results.
The program needs to be written in either C or C++. Knowledge of semaphores, shared memory resources, and database access (using a PostgreSQL database) is required. Also the developer needs to be able to write fast/tight code, yet also make sure the code is readable and maintainable.

Hello,
Since this project is a backend CGI project, Catalog Viewer (CV2) will not be needed to complete. CV2 is still in Alpha testing so a link cannot be provided at this time. For now, we mostly need the CGI scripts written and later integrated with the GUI of CV2. We would ask that a potential bidder be able to create a simple basic 'test form' to demonstrate the script is working.
