The site [login to view URL] is to be relaunched. The new version will have the format of a wiki, as exemplified by wikipedia and supported by mediawiki.org.
Main features which deviate from a standard wiki are:
- Custom front page with three-column layout (plus navigation tree), teaser texts and images with links (see PDF page 1)
- Custom layout as shown in the included PDF (see PDF page 2)
- Article layout with author's box in the rightmost column
- Hierarchical tree menu in the leftmost column (see PDF page 2)
- Custom page type: author's page (see PDF page 3, old version example: ) with custom data type "members"
- Custom page type: search for practitioners (old version example: [login to view URL]) with custom data type "addresses"
- Mouse-over texts from glossary (example: [login to view URL], term "Helicobacter pylor") with custom data type "glossary items"
- Integration of video samples in author's pages (old version example: [login to view URL])
- Custom data type "members" has its own database table(s) and database views which feed the page type "author's page"
- Custom data type "FAQs" which feeds a FAQ page
- Searchable keywords resp. alias titles for pages
- The editor's access to all but the forum pages (see below) is limited to approved users.
Your task will be to set up the media wiki software, customize it to the requirements above, and to migrate the existing site data to the new format.
Also you will have to provide a version of the same site for mobile devices which takes into account the limited screen space of those devices. A mobile device detection mechanism should prompt the visitor to use this version.
A forum module with standard forum functionality must be integrated. Look and feel should follow the layout of the text pages.
To make sure that you read and understood the spec, please include the word "hematophobia" in your response.
The language of the site is German, as you see. Rudimentary german reading skills are therefore required. Communication language between you and us may be english or german.
