My company has a requirement for an installer to be developed using Inno Setup. The program will require the following:
1. Ask users if the application is to be installed in an existing SQL Server 2. Install a version of MSDE/SQL 2005 Express with a named instance if no SQL Server is selected 3. Install a copy of the blank database into the selected SQL Server instance 4. Install the program and runtime packages into a new shared folder on the server
The installer should also cater for full removal. If a named instance of MSDE/SQL 2005 Express was installed as part of the above steps, it must be removed. Remove all other programs and packages included as part of the installation.
The user will need to choose whether to install MSDE or SQL Express 2005. If SQL Express 2005 is selected, the program will also need to install the .NET Framework. All installation processes for SQL and .NET should be silent and not visible during the main installtion process.
