Access Special Reports and Interface

The goal of the project is to create a database capable of producing reports about several aspects of our labor force. We will need to create reports with calculated fields (tenure, skills, technical experience etc.), and forms that will enable us to enter new data and change current data. Should also include friendly interface - for example, a switch board with at least 2 options - get reports and update database. The data that will populate this database is being collected in the form of a survey containing about 438 multiple choice questions - which will appear in the main report showing the percents - and 30 open text questions, that might or might not contain data. There are about 400 individuals that will be in teh database. We already have the required tables with the data we need. ## Deliverables 1)Design a skills database containing about 35 tables, with information about labor force and skills, 2)1 report that summarizes every skill from the database showing the percent of employees with a given skill, as well as years of experience and whether they are currently using that skill. 3)1 report showing skills at the invidual level, almost like a resume format, that could be retrieved based on a department or by simpling telling the database to return skills for the individual we choose, for example, enter the name of an indivual (or employee number)and get all the information pertaining to this person. 4)Need to able to get names of employees based on constraints we enter - for example, we need someone with access and java skills in department A, with 3 years of experience in SQL. The purpose of this is to give us the ability to create efficient teams. 5)Friendly user interface, the user must be able to run reports, queries and update tables from this main interface/switchboard. 6) Have the ability to export query results into Excel file. ## Platform Operating system: Windows XP software in use: MS Access 2003.
