Project: Create a ‘missed connections’ dating website Aim: This site is a dating site which allows people to place postings about other people they have seen in their travels in public in the hope that the person they have seen will reply. As well as create, users to be able to search a select number of postings from our site for key words and return results in table with clickable links to individual postings/profiles - we want to get started with a basic scalable version that we can scale up and build on in subsequent projects. User Journey Example: 1. User wants to search for references to a female he saw in Oxford Street on 3rd May 2006. 2. User types in ‘female’ into a gender search box. He can also type in ‘Oxford Street’ into location search box, and finally he can type in ‘3rd May 2006’ in a when seen search box. 3. Mini serach engine searches the website database for ‘female’ in ‘Oxford Street’ on the ‘3rd May 2006’. 4. Results are displayed in boxes on the website Timing: ASAP May 2006 Project Steps: - Choose supplier based on price, timing, references, relevant experience, understanding, customer service - Set up project with escrow account NB no upfront payment possible - Map search engine functionality - Confirm viability of target websites - Tech spec - Website map - Project Plan and timetable - Design template (for results page) - Index postings on database - Test version on programmers website - Launch beta version on our website - Full launch Budget: - $1000 - $2000 to be paid in installments of $100-250 as key stages are delivered
## Deliverables
1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.
2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):
a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.
b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.
3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
