Complete Overhaul of Website

I’m currently in the process of updating our existing website & feel it’s going to work out better starting from scratch rather than changing everything although open to suggestions. CMS is Joomla & is good but has a few limitations or I am not skilled enough to make it as I want. Please read the below brief in detail, check out all hyperlinks. In replying to this job, please demonstrate you understand what I require either by a small word document attached in your reply or a small presentation – nothing complicated & very brief. I just need to know you understand what I need. A site similar to [login to view URL] Not the same but similar. With regards to searching products. I want to change from the existing manner [login to view URL] to a drop down menus as on the landing page of [login to view URL] on the left hand side (similar – please read below). Currently with Joomla: When I create a new product, I tag that product to 1 or more categories & sub categories, I can create 1 product & tag it to as many categories / sub categories as I wish. I want to keep this simplicity. Also if one product has very similar features and selections as another, I can duplicate the product & it automatically creates an identical product and tags exactly as the first product so I can simply edit the duplicate with new info which saves time. This needs to be present with the new site as otherwise it will take months to add all the products in the migration. Currently if someone clicks Search By Vehicle> Honda > Honda Accord > Honda Accord 2003+, the results shown are from the smallest size to the largest size (from 16” through to 20”). [login to view URL] For the new site, I need a filter included so people can simply click on the size they require 16”, 17” etc &/or the brand they require. Currently all results are displayed together so there are pages & pages of results which are not filtered & is very confusing - not user-friendly. If filtered, the viewer can reach the size or brand they like immediately. Search Categories: As on the landing page of [login to view URL] , I want drop down menus Search By Vehicle or Search By PCD Under Search By Vehicle will be You should be able to select a vehicle (Audi, BMW, Mercedes etc) & the next dropdown box is linked to the vehicle selected. By Vehicle -Audi -BMW -Mercedes etc So if someone clicked BMW, the next dropdown menu would show the following below as an example: BMW 3 Series 2000 to 2006 BMW 3 Series 2006+ BMW 5 Series 1999 to 2006 BMW 5 Series 2007+ BMW 7 Series 1998 to 2003 BMW 7 Series 2004 to 2010 BMW….. Please visit [login to view URL] on the top left hand side is Audi, BMW etc. If you click BMW, then you will see in the middle of the page in the center is a dropdown box with all the different BMW vehicles. Once people click their vehicle make & model, all the results of the products that are tagged to those vehicles are displayed. I need an option to filter results by 1) Brand & 2) Size. I will be responsible for providing all the car make and models available & providing the sizes I need to have to filter as well as the various brands (not many brands or sizes we deal with a few only). So I want a similar drop down as on [login to view URL] however to be positioned in the same area as the drop down on [login to view URL] 2) Search By PCD This gives people who understand which PCD there car has an alternative option to search directly rather than clicking by vehicle. The results of the Search by PCD should be then filtered like by Vehicle (by Size & by Brand). So again as above, 200 products will be displayed but the viewer can filter results to organise results more efficiently.
