Tech Specs Death in PR: Purpose: The purpose of this project is that user will be able to search and filter information to get the desired results. In a database of the death records of PR from 2000 through 2010. Audience: This project’s audience is the research community of Puerto Rico. Description: In this project user will search the database using the following filters: 1) Age (edad) 2) Gender (género) 3) Town of residency (Municipio de residencia) 4) Town of death (Municipio de muerte) 5) Date of death (Fecha de muerte) 6) Cause of death (Causa de muerte) 7) Place of death (lugar de muerte) Users functionality: User will fill a dynamic form that depending on what the user will select will result in a query. 1) One part of the form will be for the “Where” of the query 2) And the other part of the form for the “Select” of the query. The fields will be: 1) Age: by specific number or a range. 2) Gender 3) Town of residency (Municipio de residencia) (This could be multiple selected) 4) Town of death (Municipio de muerte) (This could be multiple selected) 5) Date of death (Fecha de muerte) by specific date or month or year or range 6) Cause of death (Causa de muerte) (This could be multiple selected) 7) Place of death (lugar de muerte) (This could be multiple selected) To the resulting query apply another query, which will display descriptive statistics (Total and average) of each field of the “Select” selected: Others: After the numeric result for each selected field: Display the best graph. When Age and Date of death is selected as a range display statistics in a bar graph to show a comparative. User will be able to download results as PDF or CSV. Display of Results: 1) Age: a) Age specific age i) Total Count b) Age by Range i) Total count for each number in the range ii) Total count (The sum of all) iii) Average iv) Bar graph of the total count of each number in the range 2) Gender, Town of residency, Town of death, place of death, Cause of death and Date of death: a) Total count of each selected b) Percentage of each selected c) Pie Chart of each selected 3) Date of death a) Date of death specific date i) Total count b) Range of Date of death i) Total count for all month or year selected in the range ii) Bar graph for the selected range.
