We have a new web site that is hosted at Verio, on that website we have a locator system for our dealers. What I need is to update the mysql database with information from a csv file automatically once a day. The file is about 38mb in size, my original idea was to setup odbc but the more I think about this I don't think that would be the best option for security. We are purely a windows shop, so I have no experience in Mysql or linux. My original thought was to have the csv file uploaded to the server once a day then have a cron job update the table from a csv file. If this sounds do-able please let me know. I have more information ie the file that needs to be uploaded and the directions that were sent to me for the manual upload. thanks, Michael

Please, describe how the tables are mapped in the database then I'll provide you a solution. We can do a cron-job synchronization on the server side (with the file previously uploaded) or a script that uploads file on your server and fills the database with its entire content.
