I am redirecting traffic through my server (call it ServerMY) to an external server. We will call this external server ServerEX. I would like to remove the Useragent or change the user agent for all the users that ServerEX receives in it's referral traffic.
So ServerMY (I control) redirects traffic to ServerEX (I don't control). And ServerEX will see in their logs the logs of refferring site and Useragent.
I would like a script on ServerMy which controls the Useragents that ServerEX will see in it's referral logs.
Not that we can place the page on serverEX in a iframe on our server, we can place it inside flash, we can do whatever we want on our server, but we can't use activex (as we won't have permission to install it).
So in summary, a script in any language at all that is able to change or delete the user agent that a 3rd party server will see when the traffic is referred to a 3rd party server.
## Deliverables
This is a very fast job. Basically want to know if it can be done or not. It is possible that it can't be done, but want to know for sure if it is possible or not.

Hi. I think there is a misunderstanding in my post as perhaps I didn't explain it properly. The user browser must be the one making the request to the external server, as we want cookies to set properly in the user browser and not in our server. So you can't do this by simply getting our server to request the contents from the External server (serverEx) and then re hashing it to the user. If you did it this way the user would not get cookies set properly which won't work for this solution. So another way of explaining it is to sniff the user browser agent and then change what user agent the SErverEX will see in their logs for all the visitors. But Cookies must set normally in the users browser not in our server. The ServerEx is in an iframe in our site. The serverex can also be called in flash in our site as an alternative. Please confirm if you still think you can do it thanks.
