Hello, We have a MailChimp account which we will be using for this. What we want, is to design and implement a system where a pre-set Mailchimp Newsletter is updated. The Newsletter will be basically the same, yet we want to include an two images (from URLs), and one small block of text (from another URL). We would like this to happen automatically, so the Newsletter can go out daily. Not sure if there would be a specific program that could do this. We started implementing this using a "screen recording" program, running on a windowsXP virtual machine. It did "work", yet if anything changed (height of web pages, length of information, etc.), everything would just get stuck. Looking forward to possible solutions, and working together. End-product would be something that we can modify on our own whenever we need.

Looking at the Mailchimp web site, it seems they offer quite a few API's for automating these things. That would allow you (well, me) to write a small program or script, which could be called (automatically) at regular intervals. (The details would depend on your environment, but there is nothing particularly complicated about it.) I would expect most future modifications to be made to the Mailchimp template, which would have placeholders for the actual data which the script would supply. Changing the script itself would require a bit more knowledge, but this should probably not occur that frequently. The difficulty would depend on how it was implemented (what language) and what one was trying to achieve with such changes. Let me know if you are interested, and we'll see what we can do.
