Ability to Disable free shipping by products

I am running Zen Cart 1.38a with all patches. I need to be able to disable free shipping by product. I want to add a product. I want to be able to use my shipping rules that are in place because the work perfect for my needs. I have free shipping options module set to allow free shipping on products over $200.00 and a Lower 48 zone using UPS and USPS shipping zone for the USPS module. Until I get to trains sets and due to there size and weight I need to not allow free shipping for these trains and for certain sale items. No Matter if they meet the $200.00 dollar requirment. What I need is radio button when I enter product to select that will enter a value or remove a value in the db table never_free_shipping_product. Then do a check in the cart and not allow the free shippng to show as shipping option. I am new to php and can muddle way through the code here and fix things to my needs, but this seems to be a little above my head. Could some please HELP !!!
