Automate existing PHP scripts

I have two scripts that I currently call from a website. [login to view URL] checks for updates of one set of information and generates an entity list of over 100 entities. Clicking on any one of these entities calls the [login to view URL] for that entity and gathers a set of detailed information. These scripts work correctly but I need to make it so this process can be automated by a chron job. The deliverable is probably another PHP script that calls Stage_1, then takes its output and iterates through fetch_entity_details. I would like the script to generate an email on completion and display any errors encountered. The two scripts are attached minus login information so you can review them and prepare a bid.
