Customised Open Source CRM Design

A customized CRM Database for a fund raising organisation. To manage contacts details but also to effectively automate follow-up communications in letter, email and schedule telephone calls. Unless you have a better suggestion (please feel free to suggest) I am proposing to use Interspire Email Marketeer (IEM) to provide the overall email sending and email marketing engine. Note: I believe this is a good course of action because IEM is a powerful piece of email software and is well bug tested. Again, if you have an alternative suggestion - please provide. This also has a powerful API which naturally connects to IEM very well. API Documentation: [login to view URL] Product Information: [login to view URL] There are some other pre-made technologies which I would like to integrate within the overall system which will be detailed in the full brief which follows. If you are familiar with IEM and ISC, you will appreciate that a lot of functionality which will be detailed in this brief is already provided by those two pieces of software. My initial thoughts are that we should base everything on open-source CRM system such as V-Tiger (please feel free to suggest if you have a better idea). However, with the functionality with IEM and ISC provides, it may be easier to simply customise some PHP coding. I am very open to suggestion and would welcome ideas once you have had chance to see what functionality I require the system to have.
