Android App and server software, for Taxi Hail service.

I have a requirement for an Android application that will allow passengers to hail taxi based on available GPS data from taxi drivers phones. ## Deliverables Hello vworkers, I require a concept proving smartphone application for Android (1.5+) and a back-end service to manage and supply data to the app. The idea is that a passenger can use a smartphone to hail taxis rather than conventional methods like telephone bookings. The app can be operated in two modes, as a passenger or as a driver. Drivers will run the app, indicate that they are a driver. The driver is able to change status between "for hire" and "unavailable". Whilst the app is running on the driver's smartphone, the driver's GPS coordinates and current status are relayed to a central server. A passenger, using the application, can then see their own current location on a map (they should be prompted to enable GPS if it not already switched on) The potential passenger should also see the location of surrounding taxis within 2km, using different icons to represent the two statuses. A passenger is able to perform a "Hail" operation. This will notify the 10 nearest drivers that are also within 2km that a potential fare is available. A notified driver is then able to accept or reject the Hail. Only one driver is able to accept a Hail, and as soon as a driver accepts, all other drivers are notified that the hail is no longer available. After a driver accepts a passenger's hail, the option to accept the hail by other drivers should be removed. After 30 seconds, the hail should disappear. The driver that successfully accepted the hail is shown the location of the passenger (determined by the GPS position read from the passenger app, relayed to the server).
