Construction Project Coordinator

This is temporary part time position for the project of renovating the 3500 sq ft in downtown Chicago. Responsibilities: - audit the quotes received from GCs and make sure all costs are reasonably marked - negotiate contracts with GC - visit site at least twice a week and coordinate renovation work - monitor and supervise progress on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire alarm systems and make sure they are done in compliance with the architectural drawings - negotiate and solve upcoming issues with contractors and architects - make sure GC meets all the renovation project deadlines in timely manner - review and approve renovation project stages completion - prepare weekly status reports and communicate any issues to management - CAD and blue print reading a plus - Ability to work with multiple stakeholders within one project (GC, owner, architect, designer, subcontractors, etc) - Ability to create schedules with multiple correlated tasks, milestones, and hard due dates.
