Camera Mount

I want to commission a mount for 2xcameras to be used with a DIY book scanner ([login to view URL]). Currently, both cameras are bolted on to a camera mounting slot: [login to view URL] However, this means that the cameras can't be removed without adjusting their orientation. They need to be directed exactly square on to the book which they're photgraphing. They are attached to the camera using the bolt here:[login to view URL] Having a mount which always returns the cameras to a preset orientation will safeguard against this problem. Two approaches I've considered are creating an integrated mounting plate and camera housing, using 3d printing, and printed in clear plastic. The mounting plate would have lugs at either end, on its underside, which would enable it to centre exactly in the book scanner (I should get around to drawing this). The housing, in which the camera would sit, would cover the back of the camera, extending as far as the control panel on the rear right hand side of the A1400 cameras, which I'm using. The back of the camera would fit flush against this rear plate, which being transparent, would still allow a clear view of the camera's LCD display. The mount would only fit the A1400; I can send anyone who takes on the job a spare camera to scan/take measurements, so that they can design a recess to accomodate it.
