Hi, I have few questions. Can you share the database schema? I assume that there is a products table in which category, store columns are referenced as a foreign key. To apply date filter I assume that we should filter it first, then select random products from filtered products. Otherwise there is a possibility that random product list doesn't meet the date filter criteria. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks, Arbab

I have 8+ years of experience in developing products using .net/C#. Have worked on variety of projects using a wide range of components available with .net suit. - Exchange (2010 and beyond) for EWS - my last project in freelancer.com - Excel Addin - ASP.Net mvc / winform - 3rd party integration using WCF or any other http based integration layer - sql 2005/2008r2/2012 - mongoDB integration - Rackspace integration I had few questions (based on below sample data): Category - Beverages, cloths, sports shop1 - coke_small, coke_big, shirt_green, shirt_red, hockey_stick, hockey_ball shop2 - pepsi_small, pepsi_big, shirt_blue, shirt_yellow, soccer_boot, soccer_ball 1. As you say - The random products should be returned on a criteria of date, i.e it should be greater than provided date at all times. - on 28/09/2014-8 am the algo would return say shop1-coke_big,shirt_red,hockey_ball shop2-pepsi_small,shirt_yellow,soccer_boot - on 29/9/2014-8 am - now what ever data returned by the algo, based on what criteria we need to check if its greater than or less than that what was returned above? 2. The random product selected should be there in all shops? 3. should the algo return a list of products, one from each category ?
