Coldfusion Software Refactor

We're looking for a Coldfusion developer to help refactor and support our legacy software stack, to help resolve growing pains as we scale out. The position is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and the ideal candidate would be able to base themselves on-site with us, at least in the beginning stages; initially the position will be around 20 hours a week but flexibility in hours would be welcomed as the work peaks and troughs. We require someone with experience of Coldfusion, preferably in the context of Railo and CFWheels; a good working experience of MySQL is essential and an understanding of agile methodologies and test driven development would be preferable. Experience with other C based languages and web technologies would be ideal and may lead to further opportunities for collaboration in the future. We are an energy management company who specialise in big data; we collect, analyse and report on our clients energy use offering them key insights into the way they use their energy and how to reduce their carbon, cost and energy footprints. As our platform has grown we have become aware of bottlenecks that limit our ability to scale horizontally and degrade customer experience, as a result certain areas need to be refactored and improved while others need to be built on top of to provide further business functionality. We require additional resource to tackle these issues as our current resource is tied up with ongoing commercial requirements and development of new platform components (some of which directly or indirectly replace the CF platform).
