I have successfully deployed more than 20 enterprise applications in AWS, including all services from Load Balancers, EC2 Servers, S3 Storage, Redis Cache, RDS Databases, CloudFront CDN, CloudWatch monitoring and numerous AWS services such as SNS. The deployment architecture will be influenced by the number of users you expect to access your installation, the geographic location of those users and the budget you would like to assign to the ongoing hosting and deployment. For the scope of this engagement, I will assume a simple single server deployment, but the scope can be adjusted to meet your scaling needs. Within this scope, I will: 1. Create a new AWS account (or log in to your existing account) 2. Create an Availability Zone in the correct geographic regain (default to us-east-1) 3. Define a Security Group (only open ports 22 for SSH and 80 for Apache) 4. Instantiate a new EC2 Server -- I suggest Linux for stability (I have a bent toward Ubuntu, but am open to your preference) 4a. Create and deliver new key for SSH access 5. Install the following software: a. Languages: Python, Java b. Servers: Apache, Tomcat, MySQL c. Applications: Fineract platform, Pentaho 6. Configure a virtual host for the given domain in apache and forward requests to Tomcat (Java Container) 7. Install Mifos X data schema and secure MySQL database 8.
