I need a java software that works like a POS software, all the database stuff will be handled by me, just need a simple "layout" of the software. It should be divided in 4 apps: Table app: -Open a table; -Insert products ordered by the tables; -give total to pay; -close table; -Table state, if it's ready for other costumers or not. Bar app: -Show bar orders (with number and drinks envolved); -Mark an order as ready; -Report if a product is out of stock; POS app: -Bills to pay; -Mark as paid; Kitchen app: -Show meals to prepare by order and name; -Mark meal as ready to serve;

I think you need something like a GUI, and something that communicate the user input with the database. I have worked with java, and is the language in which I have the most experience, I think I have the knowledge to this work. My approach is, first the function, later the design. I plan to work first in the part that works like you think it must work, so first we need to make the communication between the apps and your database, later we could work about the aesthetic aspects. I have a question, did you have a restrictions about API, frameworks or version of java to use?
