Calculating energy demand and supply for a given situation

I am a physicist with huge experience in numerically modelling, particularly with Matlab. I have successfully created similar energy supply/demmand modells beofre, for example, modellling energy use/demmand with regard to supplying power from hydroelectric sources over a yearly cycle. What information do you have about the energy demmand? This can quite easily be modelled for a single household and scaled to a village and made to fit the constraints given my you. If you could supply more information about what outputs and results you want I can give you a better idea of how I would implement this. Thanks.
