Canada, Taiwan, & Hong Kong Patent Applications & PCT Filing

We are looking for individuals to complete some work (as described below) regarding patent filing in Canada, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, but are also looking to establish a long-term relationships for foreign filings on various patent applications, with the next application expected to be ready in approx. 3 months. We currently work with a local patent firm for the drafting of the patents and the initial filing in the US, but wish to work through a freelance patent person (not necessarily an attorney) for the subsequent international filings. The FIRST PATENT, which we will refer to as “PP01”, is a Utility patent application and will be filed with the USPTO on March 19th, 2012 with a Small Entity status. The filing number is 13/090,156. Text: There are 23 pages in total comprised as follows:- Title Page 1 Background & Summary 2 Brief Description of Drawings 2 Detailed “ “ “ 11 Conclusion 1 Claims 5 Abstract 1 ------------------ Total Pages 23 Claims: There are 3 independent claims and 17 dependent claims, totaling 20 claims. Drawings: There are 11 pages of drawings containing 13 figures. We now require the following to be quoted:- 1. Filing in Canada with an accelerated examination, to be completed before end of March 2012. 2. Filing a PCT application before April 18th, 2012. 3. Filing independently in Taiwan & Hong Kong (non PCT countries) before April 18th, 2012. Soon after the expected approx. 12 months that it will take the above-referenced Canadian application to be examined and issued, but before the 30 months provided by the filing of the PCT, we would be looking to file the appropriate issued patent as applications in approx. 15 more countries to provide international IP protection on this industrial product. Please quote the following, either: a) a fixed cost per application for completing #1, #2, and #3 above (or whichever is applicable to your experience); or b) a per hour rate for completing the above tasks with an estimate as to hours (and therefore cost); or c) a per hour rate for completing the above tasks with a “not to exceed” total. Please indicate which country(ies) you are experienced in filing and outline your work basis, such as “independent freelancer working full-time in freelance” or “already employed full-time in IP field but doing part-time freelance work in evenings/weekends” etc. In each case, please briefly advise professional qualifications and experience (in either freelance or employed capacity) with number of years’ experience, number of patents submitted, etc. Lastly, if the quote is competitive and in line with our goals, we would like to get some information on example utility applications issued (of a mechanical nature) for us to reference.
