Custom Wordpress Development

In a nutshell: We’re Aria, a Dallas-based agency who’s looking for a WordPress Developer for a current project with a serious passion for building usable and maintainable sites on WordPress. Some of your duties as our WordPress Developer include: -Constructing custom WordPress themes from scratch, or framework of your choosing. -Architecting custom post-types, shortcodes, and other WordPress functions to meet client needs. -Integrate third party plugins and services into your WordPress sites. -Plan out and define optimal / semantic HTML page structure -Cross-Browser, cross-platform (Desktop, Mobile, etc.) testing -Translating designs (slicing / creating final production-ready graphics) into working websites -Helping monitor / optimize / benchmark page performance -Continually research and learn the latest techniques and best practices for WordPress development -Requirements -2-4 years experience in WordPress development. -Extensive understanding of HTML5 / CSS3 and cross-browser issues -Understanding of how to debug and improve page performance -Experience with front-end development frameworks (Foundation, 960 grid, 1140 grid etc...) -Reliable, self-motivated, positive attitude, and good communication skills -Insatiable desire to constantly improve your knowledge and understanding of the web -Comfortable in a collaborative environment, but able (and willing) to follow direction -Great sense of humor, and not overly sensitive Desired but not required: -Comfortable writing custom jQuery/javascript solutions from scratch -Experience with WAMP/MAMP -Experience with Git -Experience with SASS/LESS -Experience in LAMP stack and ways to improve page performance on the server-side -A degree in design or technology -A penchant toward beer in the afternoons -Awesome dart throwing skills -The ability to walk on water
