I already have precisely what you need. The catch is am using .net framework, but is should also work with .net core. The T4 templates generate the controllers and I also have designed a Material Type UI that is generated along with CRUD operations (along with the views) using entity framework 6. There is also the issue that it uses several js libraries for custom behaviour.
