Hi,
I'm hoping to build an audio project using 8 photoresistors to trigger the sounds. Each photoresisitor will have a seperate sound file - which will play when a hand is placed over it (low light) and stop when the hand is removed. Multiple photoresistors may be covered at once, so the sound files need to be able to play simultaneously if required. I understand that Processing may be able to help here? Ideally I'd like the sounds to play through a PC. Unfortunately have no experience with Processing and very little experience with Arduino. I have the required hardware (Arduino Uno .... and I'm going to buy an adaptor(?) so that I can use 8 photoresistors), but need someone to write the necessary code (and guide me through implementing it!).
Please feel free to ask if you need more information!
This can be done by utilising processing on pc part or even any object oriented lang to play an mp3 file while specific command is received on the com port from the arduino FURTHER read EMail!
This sounds like an interesting project. I could definitely write the code for you. I have the hardware necessary to test any code that I may write. I have a background in Arduino programming and user input for event triggering, which would apply nicely to this project. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
Hi,
Your project is definitely doable. You can use processing plus minim to play the audio files you want and these can be triggered from the arduino as you have discribed. Please let me know if you need my help putting this all together.

Your posted project is quite feasible. I can deliver for you the following:
1. Program for the Arduino to send a string via USB to a PC containing information on the status of all four LDRs.
2. Bill of Material and connection schematic for your assembly.
3. Basic application (source and binary) written in Visual Basic to select and assign the MP3 files and play them according to the value of the LDR and the established thresholds.

Hello, I will not overwhelm you with all of my technical background and experience on this topic, i will just say that i have far beyond the experience required to fulfill this project with high quality results. I have almost all the hardware required for this project on hand to start working right now. I will write high quality documentation for both hardware and software and suggest you (if any) improvements for this project. I will write the PC software in C# and provide you a wiring schematic that you can use to set up the hardware for your own. We can be in contact with Skype or Gtalk, this should not take me over a day to complete.
