Hello
I'd be happy to help out. It sounds like this is your first use of Chef and you would like an introduction to Chef and what it can do.
Details we will need:
Chef server - IP, Chef admin interface user and password.
Workstation remote access - IP, username, password for an admin account.
Details that would help:
A Chef cookbook/recipe you would like applied. If not we'll use something simple like Apache web server.
From there we can setup your workstation to administer the Chef server with knife and knife scripts. Then add the required cookbook to the server and do the same for the Vagrant and Chef solo setup. We have generally used a Google Hangout screen cast once it's all set up for the step by step demonstrations.
We have been working and developing with Chef for the last 3 years and have setup a number of companies with a new Chef workflow to reduce their admin work load. This involves setup, testing, demonstration and training so the companies can start making full use of Chef.
Please let me know if the milestones are missing anything you believe needs to be done or if you have any other questions.
Cheers,
Matt
