Abstract: Develop a web site that plays selected video clips while serving as a portal to other data and select pages. Designed for consumer waiting area. Full Description: The web site would be a proprietary program that would allow the delivery and presentation of video clips serving as entertainment in a consumer waiting area. A menu-based video library would be available to valid users (our customers) in order to compose a customized series of clips that would play on an infinite loop when the site is not "active" (in other words when a consumer is not engaging it). The videos would play within the site which must also contain links to other pages and select web sites. All sites would be presented within the video infotainment site. Again, when the site is not active, it will return to a default state of playing the selected videos. Requirements: Entire site (including all underlying code and content) will be the property of [my company] and reside on [my company's] servers. The site must be created using Flash or Flex. The site should have highly stylized graphics and transitions. The site should be easily navigated by consumers and easily maintained by customers and [my company's] staff. The site will include: • Portal - The actual Flash- or Flex-based window that contains and presents all content and navigation. Site should contain customizable skins to meet a wide variety of styles for my industry. • Navigation - Links to specific video clips, flash-based pages and other web pages to be displayed within the portal only. • User Account Screen - My company will provide access to MS SQL database of valid user and user account details. Site preferences will be modified by user. • Video Menu - A list of videos (my company will supply) which a user can choose to display to his consumers. Videos either stream or compile and download. • An option to download a video file to be burned and played on a DVD player. In this case, we need to consider some way to make the video expire or not play after a specified date or after a specified number of days. • Video Upload - User can have the ability to add own video clip from a file or directly from web cam. • Customized Offer - User has the ability to create a custom offer that will display on screen while generic voice over and music plays. My company can supply both background music and voice over. These options (background music and voice over) would be a good addition to the video upload also. • Logo Upload - User can brand his version of the video infotainment site with his company logo. Program must be able to re-size logo file. • Content Manager - Built-in back office administration area for my company's staff to add and delete video content and other page content. My company employs web developers and other designers, complexity should not be an issue. Quoted proposals should include (working) examples of some of the above requirements.
