Undegraduate Cyber Security Assignment (Encryption + Decryption Algorithms)

This is a research-oriented task. For this assignment you are required to: - Produce an encryption algorithm to secure communications performed - Your encryption algorithm can be completely novel or inspired by existing algorithms. Instructions for fulfilling the task: - Present a reflective summary of the current cybersecurity threat landscape. - Include the full specifications of the inspiring algorithms as well as your own examples to demonstrate your understanding. Describe the weaknesses and strengths of those algorithms and explain why you chose them. - As a part of the specification of your algorithm, including the following: *full explanation of your encryption algorithm *full explanation of your decryption algorithm *examples to clarify the steps *diagram with the steps for both encryption and decryption algorithm *complete analysis of your own algorithm including its strengths and weaknesses and its best application) - Instructions for preparation of the report: *How you organise the tasks in your group is up to you; describe this in your joint report. •The diagrams should be neatly drawn. •When including someone else’s saying you should quote and say whose it is. •When referring to someone else’s findings/algorithms you should reference properly.
