Press Release: Create a compelling news story pitch (300-500 words)

We recently released a new iPhone photo sharing application. We're looking for a creative copywriter that has experience writing press releases/news story pitches for startups - tone should be geared towards a younger college lifestyle audience. Your responsibilities: - Get acquainted with our app by looking at the app store description and our website - Write a compelling news story pitch including headline/subject line (based on information that we provide after the project has been awarded). - Pitch should be between 300-500 words. - Please write a story pitch that captures what a college lifestyle audience would love to hear. This story will get pitched to U.S. college news websites. Your qualifications: - Exceptional writing (AP style), grammar, spelling and formatting. - Open to native English writers only. - Expertise in web copy, SEO, and online (email) marketing a plus. - An exceptional portfolio that demonstrates an ability to create compelling copy for a wide variety of brands, audiences and industries. - Experience writing for college lifestyle audiences. - Experience writing press releases for startups (preferably apps). - Varied experiences writing App Store Descriptions and/or developing content for websites and/or new applications. - A complete freelancer.com profile. - References or an established reputation on freelancer preferred. - BA/BS degree required. - US members only.
