I have a 10w RGB LED package (3w per colour) and need to drive it so we can select: Just red Just green Just blue White (all three together) Yellow (red & green together) Each of the LED's requires different voltages, and current limited to 350mA per channel. I tried previously to do this, but with little success and just destroyed the LED's. To limit the current I tried adding NSI50350ADT4G's, but they get VERY hot so dont think this is a usable solution. Also, as they get hot, the current goes down so not a great idea. The LED's are common anode Here's a link for the LED https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01DBZK64K/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=A29VZUSG1WM39I&psc=1 I've uploaded an image of the original Chinese flood light controller, but dont want to use the IR remote. Must be via a single N/O switch. I want to control the colour by pressing a N/O switch. Each time it's pressed, it changes to the next colour. Once tested on an arduino, I plan to build it on a ATMEGA328-AU chip. There are lots of circuit ideas out there about how to manage voltage and current for these LED's, but no guess work please. If you dont have the skill and knowledge, dont bid. This is a re-posted project as it was given to a freelancer without the appropriate electronics knowledge to complete it properly.

Hello, First of all, selecting NSI50350ADT4G is a wrong decision as it is a linear converter. That means any unused energy is consumed on this IC and produces a lot of heat. When the temperature reach the thermal shutdown threshold, it reduces the current. Usually, the higher the input voltage, the hotter the IC is. To make the system run in more effective way - and so, it's much less warm, you should use a buck converter. Basically, the circuit tries to get just enough energy from the source and feed to the led using PWM. You can easily recognize the buck converter when you see an inductor on the circuit. Long time ago I used LM2596 to drive the leds. Today, it's much easier with IC such as BP1360 or ready-made module such as this one [login to view URL] Scope of my bid are: 1. Design the circuit using BP1360 IC and the board is going to control by Arduino. I will send you the schematic + wiring diagram. 2. Write a small Arduino code to read 1 input from N/O switch and turn on R, G or B when the switch is press (i.e. press 1st time: R, 2nd time G, 3rd R and 4th back to R). The bid does NOT include the cost to make the prototype nor shipment. It cost about $200 more to make a prototype board and ship from Vietnam to UK (both making prototype + shipment) so please let me know if you want to go with that. Regards, Anh

Hi, I am interested to work with your project. To be sure that it works as expected, I would need to source the very same leds you have. For project delivery, do you need complete prototype PCB or just a schematic? Send me a message to discuss further details, best regards.

Hello I'm an engineer in electronics and I can help you with your project Actually I have good experience with Opto electronics. The solution that I can gave you is a Power circuit with a microcontroller that senses the current consumption and temperature to avoid the destruction of your LED. Besides you will need an appropriate temperature dissipation to conserve the LED between his normal operation conditions. I want talk with you about your requirements and offer you the best solution for your project. Regards

Hello Sir, its an easy task for me. I have 4 years experience in PCB designing in EAGLE (single multilayer and flex) As NSI50350ADT4G has very high PD value 11W without a good heat sink it won't work properly. 2SCR513P5T100 BCP56-10HX are some good examples of switching RGB. Almost all projects I made are Arduino based. following are some example 1. atmega328au + hm11+ relays car actuator module. 2. atmega328au + nrf24l01 + relays smart switch module. 3. atmega328au + mpr121 capacitive touch smart remote. 4. amega328au + LCD display + hc06(later hm10) + amplifier + strain gauge water mapping module. 5. Arduino Uno clone. 6. ESP12E wifi + relay board + humidity&temp sensor Smart module plaese see my portfolio for more sample of my work. thanks.

Hello sir don't worry about the stand a,one arduino I'm professional at it ,I make many circuits with builtin arduino platform by atmega328ic Let's move to main part I'll control your rgb leds by tip122 or other tip I use it may times to control the light strength and on of egb light I see it's suitable and we can reduce and increase the current as we need So I can do that for you wiring with arduino code pcn playout Manufacturing Thanks Moahmed

I can definitely write the code for you, but have not had enough experience with specific parts to be able to tell you much about what to pick. Do you have a Mouser local to you?
