MOTHER DAUGHTER GRAND GESTURE Disabled Military Veteran Daughter & Mother with Stage 4 Lung Cancer Shannon Connolly MOTHER DAUGHTER GRAND GESTURE Disabled Military Veteran Daughter & Mother with Stage 4 Lung Cancer (Frederick County Maryland, U.S.) Hey, my name's Shannon Connolly. I am a disabled army military veteran and am reaching out for help or recommendations for my mother. My mother, Virginia Lee Connolly has been diagnosed and battling stage four lung cancer, now which is also mutated and spread to several parts of the body. She's already undergone surgery as well as several different kinds of treatments. She was diagnosed over a year ago and now reaching that pivotal moment where realistically she will be faced with comfort over care. (Meaning to enjoy what life is left and how to spend it i.e. in treatment or stop treatment etc.) She's recently spent more time in the Emergency room then her home. (& sadly treated by doctors as a revolving door) It's now become hard for her to breathe now as well and was recently been put on oxygen. Already though her constant pain from treatment and tumors, already exhausting treatments, now oxygen. Her life becoming increasingly exhaustive, frustrating, and limited. My mother's always done for everyone but herself, she always placed her needs on the back burner. She's done it all, living life solo with little to no support and never once complained. She gives without expectation and her selflessness is something I aspire to. Our family has always been on that tipping point financially. I am a disabled military veteran and don't have much to work with as far as funding but will do my best. I originally thought of a flash mob or a similar outrageous spectacle but beggars can't be choosers and I'll take what I can get, including recommendations or simply forwarding my message to someone you think could assist me in this. I want to give her something no one else can. Forget materialistic Crap, especially since you can't take it with you! I want to give her an experience, a lasting memory, I want to make her feel like she's on top of the world and is deserving of something grand!!!! She deserves the world but I'll take what I can in the hopes of making it as memorable as possible! I welcome and am willing to listen to any and all options or recommendations that anyone could provide me with concerning assistance with the above mentioned information.
