I would like to hire a Lawyer

We are a married couple who are in dispute with a local landowner. Our home can only be accessed by using a right of way over the adjacent land, which connects to the main road. Historically, the previous property owners were able to use the land for occasional deliveries as they had a key for the padlocked gate. In recent years, this right has been removed by the landowner, who has since rented the property to a local estate agent - they are using it to store anything up to 10 cars. We are being forced to park down the hill on the main road and can't even get access for deliveries, workmen, visitors or any other reason. Our objectives (in order) are: - establish and if possible, enforce a legal right of vehicle access - use any mechanism possible to force the removal of the vehicles - diminish the value of the land by increasing the cost of ownership/usage - negotiate to purchase the land once the value has been diminished The rights that we have were first set out in an Abstract of Title, dating back to the 1800's. We believed that this was conclusive, but after a limited amount of correspondence betwen a barrister we engaged and the owner's solicitors, we seem to have hit a brick wall. We now wish to enlist the help of someone to work on the case to: TIMELINE Organise all the official documents into a chronological order Research land ownership history using HM land registry Log an event timeline for the various affected pieces of land CORRESPONDENCE Identify, extract and highlight key facts from correspondence Perform additional desk research as required to support / contradict points made Liase with a barrister for further direction Thanks
