Decrypt the sql server database backup

Hello, I am a Microsoft Certified Solutions Master: SQL Server (on-premise and Azure). I am a SQL Server Consultant working as a Developer and DBA, I have had 14 years experience with on-premise and 3 years experience with Azure (SQL Database and SQL in an Azure VM). I have experience with many companies large (particularly large government departments with 100,000+ users). Is the database encrypted via application, cell-level, column-level, or Transparent Data Encryption?

Encrypted SQL Server Database Backup can only be Decrypted using the same Key/Certificate that was used to Encrypt at the backup configuration time. Provided you are restoring backup on the same "SQL Server Machine" and you have the relevant key or certificate information then decryption is not an issue at all and you can do that yourself quiet easily. On the other hand if you are trying to Restore the Encrypted Backup to different SQL Server machine then the procedure is going to be different and a bit complicated. To be honest, I have never tried this before but I have a few ideas that are worth trying only if you have the relevant artifacts available. I can't guarantee a positive outcome.
