Ajax issue - Need Help with AJAX Breaking CSS especially on Internet Explorer

I have a project that I have almost finished and there is an Ajax problem that is really annoying. When the call is made i.e. the link / button is clicked the new information come through but the css that results on the ensuing format is out of sorts with the CSS. This should take no more than 30 minutes for someone who is very well versed in AJAX issues All versions of browsers break some of the CSS but internet explorer breaks the worst. Thanks for the help.
