About Us: We are a web development company, specialising in web design, template customisation, SEO services, and script programming. Purpose of Project: We are currently incorporating our company, with an increase of geographically targeted clients; therefore we may need a permanent part-time web designer/script programmer to assist us in managing the added demand. Thus, the chosen candidate may have a future freelance employment with us. Project Outline: Our client is a NON-PROFIT organisation that helps special needs children. They require an administration website, in which their administrators can control the content of their public website, that we are in the process of designing. Project Details: Administration Website There will be one administrative website that all admins will have personal access to. The administration website will be hosted on our servers using a sub-domain such as: ‘[login to view URL]’. After an administrator logs into their account, they will be presented with a number of administrative features. The first feature our client requires is a ‘personal account section’ in which the admin can change his/her personal details and password. Once the user updates their profile the changes made should appear instantly. The second feature is a ‘committee list’, in which all admin members have access to, so that they may view each other details that were input into their personal account section. The next feature will involve ‘content management’. This will enable the administrators to change or delete content within 5 specific pages of the public website: 1. Link/resources page – must be able to add/edit/delete links to other related sites 2. Projects page – must be able to add/edit/delete projects 3. Members page – must be able to add/delete committee members and their contact details (must be restricted to main administrator) 4. FAQ – must be able to add/edit/delete questions and answers 5. Download Area – must be able to upload word & pdf documents, which automatically generates a download link for the visitors The final feature will be hosted on a separate sub-domain, which we will allocate a user restriction area to, for one person only – The Main Administrator. This feature will allow only the main admin to add new and delete existing administrators of the administrative website. He will add new administrators by inputting their username, password and e-mail address in a simple form, and once he clicks ‘submit’, it will send that person an email of their user details, the administration website login url (sub domain), and instructions of how to change their password. Once the admin adds a committee member it should allow instant access for this username and password. It should also instantly update the committee list, for other committee members to see.
