I require an ASP/MS ACCESS web based help desk for a web host to provide customer support.
The help desk must have the ability for anyone to create a problem(Ticket) (there will be no login/paswords), the user would then be e-mailed a ticket number and URL where they can view their ticket.
The user needs to be able to enter:
Name (- Required)
Account Number (- Required)
Domain (- Optional)
E-Mail (- Required)
Priority (- Required to choose from list)
Problem (- Required)
A complicated Graphical interface is not of vital importance, the system should be mostly functional with a clean and easy interface. - The user interface must be compatible with all modern browsers.
A user should also have the ability to search previous tickets by 'Account Number' or to enter their ticket number.
The admin area would show a list of all open tickets, with the ability to view closed tickets on another page. Open tickets would be listed by priority.
The Admin can reply to tickets and mark them as 'closed' or 'awaiting user response', and the user is automatically notified of this. If the user then adds a further reply to the ticket, it would be bumped back to 'Open'.
Please note, we **do not** have the ability to install .DLL's, objects or any other components. The delivered system must be purely ASP/MS Access.
- An option to have the admin e-mailed everytime a ticket is submitted would be an advantage, but this needs to be optional so it can be turned off if not required.
It would also be extremely advantageous if a function to have all e-mails recieved by a certain address automatically turned into tickets.
For example, a user sends a support query to an e-mail address, and then the ticket system would take over, sending them a ticket number and then proceeding as with a normal web-user submitted ticket.
The last two paragraphs are optional, depending on the costs involved. However, we would very much like to have them.
