Need ASP script modified.

I am using a licensed copy of Rapid Classifieds (RC) classified system. I have asked the developer of RC to enhance the program and he is unable to because of other obligations. He suggested I hire an external developer to do what I need done. Before you read any further, I want you to do the following so you're familiar with what I want to do. First, go to [login to view URL] and get the username/password to use. PLEASE LOG OUT WHEN YOU'RE FINISHED.. Then click on "Post Ad" and you will see a listing of cities in Arizona under 'select category'. Pick Phoenix and then pick a random ZIP code. Click Next. Click next when it asks for a picture. Once you see the final 'ad posting' screen, just stop, don't add anything. Come back to this document. What I need to do is automatically populate the database that RC uses with a 16,000 record text file of childcare providers that I have. The author of RC has graciously built me a category import tool that uses text files to import and create the categories from the 16,000 records I have. I used the CITY field as my top level category and the ZIPCODE field as my subcategory for each CITY. If the city and ZIP are in my text file, then the categories were added. If a city doesn't appear in the categories list, it means that there were no records with that city/zip in my text file. ATTACHED FILES ARE: [login to view URL] (included in [login to view URL]) ## Deliverables What I want to do now is this: I want to be able to import my 16,000 record text file into the database. It would take days of data entry to do it manually and since I have all of the information in a Delimited file already, it should be automated. The script that is used to create postings is included in the attached ZIP files, one ZIP being the complete RC software program. I am enclosing a sample of the text file that will need to be imported. RC is a free download (non commercial or for testing is free) but I'm including the version I'm using with this bid just so you're on the same one as I am. I want you to extract the files attached, then install it on your IIS machine. Edit the /config/[login to view URL] file to use your MSDE or SQL server. The install script will automatically install the software in your database and allows you to automatically populate the default categories. YOU MUST EDIT THE CONFIG FILE TO USE MSSQL, not access or mysql. You will choose NOT to install default categories and will instead use a category import script and text files I provide to populate the software and database so it functions just like mine does. NOTE: The setup script will want an admin username and other info such as domain URL and all that. Just accept the defaults for most of it or customize it for your server. That part doesn't (or shouldn't) come into play when adding a posting. What I want to happen is this: I want a script that: 1) Creates a user in RC for each of the 16,000 unique records I have in my database. (Postings are linked to users, and I also want to have unique usernames so the customers can later go and update/add/delete thier listings.) 2) Adds a posting using the username created in #1 to the database. They would normally do this manually but we're in a time crunch and need this done NOW. The posting will include the daycare providers data such as Address, Name, and Tel. number, nothing else. If they want to add more, then they buy a premium service later. 3) Write the username/password it created to a text file (along with address/state/phone, etc. that's all in the text file). I'll use this to mail merge a letter to these providers, letting them know what their username/password is and inviting them to update the posting themselves by logging in with the username/password your script creates. This should take no more than 1-3 hours for a good ASP developer. Given that I'm including 100% of the files needed to complete this project, you should make sure you can make my requirements happen before you bid. Please include some experience notes or links to other projects when you bid. I'd like to see your work. 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
