Hello, I would be able to complete project for you, and have it web-based. My main questions revolve around saving information, which would determine what method I would use to build it. If you could answer the following questions, that will help: 1. Do you want to have a complete calendar, where you enter holidays months in advance? Or will this be something that's more on-the-fly where you designate any potential days as holidays when you're generating the schedule for a week? 2. Will more than one person be generating schedules? 3. Will you need to reference schedules from past weeks with this script? 4. Does this script need to distribute schedules to employees, or will you do something like cut & paste the script output into an email? Hello! Just read over the specification of the project. It seems like a fairly straight forward project. I would probably recommend you actually build this using HTML / Javascript in a single HTML web page rather than PHP but I am able to do either! The starting point for this project would be the user interface and what sort of settings you'd like to adjust. From the specification I can already see a couple; holidays and being able to allocate which days are candidates for remote days. There can be further customisation options but it really depends on how many options you want. If you want to keep it short and sweet, that's perfectly fine. The easiest way to build the interface would probably be to use the Bootstrap framework just to get a bunch of UI elements readily available. Once the interface is complete, the algorithm using the options etc would then generate a list of days for each of the users. Looking forward to hearing from you. Tim.
