Need help creating a archiving and backup plan

We have an environment with 5 servers and about 3 terabytes of misc files. I need to create a process where we can archive data that is > 6 months old. The rest of the data needs to be backed up daily and then replicated off-site.

Most of our data does not change on a daily basis so I have been looking at solutions that do block level backups.

We currently use Backup Exec to tape and have evaluated many other backup programs. Now I am confused.

I am estimating this project should require 2-3 hours of consulting type help.
