1. Project Background and Description We have an Operations & Maintenance department which has various sites which look after the Security system Machines. As the Sites have increased, we plan to develop a software which can automate manual reports for each site. • Each site has a number of Machines & each machine have its own unique report. • Each Machine is assigned to an Employee & he will fill the daily report for that machine (i.e. in the proposed application). • If there are any issues, the report should me automatically escalated to the next level. • If there are no errors, the report will be directly saved to database. • There is also a small Inventory module which should be covered in this application. • We also need to automate Employee timesheets/Expense reports from sites with round circle approval system. 2. Project Scope The project scope for this application can be defined as below. • The Application should be web-based & bi-lingual (Both English & Arabic). • The report content should be dynamically generated from the database. The employee should only be able to choose from the given options. • The application should throw alerts for the corresponding employees if there any actions pending with them. • The application should generate dynamic graphs showing the system breakdown hours. • The system should limit to submit time-sheets only once every month. 3. High-Level Requirements The new system must include the following: • Ability to allow both internal and external users to access the application without downloading any software. • Ability to interface with the existing applications. • Ability to incorporate automated routing and notifications based on business rules. • Ability to modify the source code in future 4. Deliverables A complete web-bases Asp.Net web application with Source code & the below mentioned deliverables. • Web pages with round circle approvals. • Developed MDF File (Database). • Inventory Forms. • Online Attendance sheets. • Online Expense report forms. 5.
