FRENCH-SPEAKING PR & Media-Monitoring Specialist in AFRICA 2

I am looking for a freelancer based in a Francophone (French-speaking) African country who is bilingual in English and French. The freelancer will be helping our company establish a foothold in Francophone Africa, so he/she must have a strong background in public relations. (A) WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? This job involves two main types of tasks: PR tasks and media monitoring. The PR tasks may include calling your local media outlets to garner interest in our company, brainstorming ideas to attract new clients, pitching stories via email, and other similar PR-related tasks as needed. Additionally, the freelancer will be monitoring the news media in every Francophone African country for certain types of business-related news stories. The media outlets listed in the Mondo Times lists are by no means comprehensive, so the freelancer MUST have familiarity with what French-language outlets are available in the Francophone African countries. (B) THE BIDDING/HIRING PROCESS If you think you can do this job, place a bid for 1 month of work and I will send you a private message with more details about what you will be doing as a PR specialist, as well as the specific types of news stories I want you to monitor and what I want to accomplish with the information that you will be compiling. After I explain the instructions and narrow down the pool of bidders, I will ask all remaining qualified bidders who are still interested in this project to answer a few short questions to demonstrate their comprehension of the tasks. Some previous job candidates that I've talked to in the past have had difficulty understanding my instructions, so hopefully this process will help clear up any confusion before I award the project. During the final stage of the hiring process, you will be required to participate in a phone interview with one of our directors. If you have any questions at any point during our discussions, don't be afraid to ask before you accept the job! (C) WHAT DO I EXPECT FROM YOU? The success of this project depends entirely on your ability to follow instructions and stay updated. I expect you to promptly read, acknowledge, and reply to all of my messages and instructions. If I ask you a question about your work, I expect you to promptly answer it. I expect you to be capable of working independently after being given instructions. At the same time, I expect you to ask for clarification if something is unclear. I expect you to keep me updated every day on your progress. This includes updating your Google Docs spreadsheet every day with your news findings. Warning: I am VERY STRICT when it comes to making sure that freelancers meet the rigorous demands of our tasks. If you are doing a bad job, I will make sure you know about it. If you are not good at communicating with strangers, or have trouble following instructions, or don't handle criticism well, this job is not for you. Hard work (and ONLY hard work) will be rewarded. Lazy freelancers, quitters, and poor communicators will not. So be a hard worker!!
