Changes to Historical Data Workbook for tender…
1. Previously, we wanted all data up until the latest close. Now we would like to be able to choose a start point and end point between which we would like to see data.
Therefore, in the Sheet Data1 near the top by the button please supply drop down boxes for start and end date.
Drop down for DAY, MONTH, YEAR.
End date to default to Todays date.
2. Previously, the error parameters (in point 18 of the previous job spec, attached) were hard coded. We would now like to be able to vary them. Therefore, please can we have a facility to specify the following error parameters. Namely;
a. Drop-box for Minimum number of MONTHS that Historical Data goes back. (1-36)
b. Type-box to set number of days before end-date specified above most recent data must be within (ie if end date is 10-24-12, number of days is set to 10 then if most recent data was from 10-13-12 would fail but if it was 10-14-12 it would be OK).
c. Type-box to set minimum adjusted-close price, to two decimal places.
d. Change the error messages for above to something generic… (e.g. Data does not go back specified time, Below specified price limit or no data within specified time-frame)
3. Make the Workbook 64-bit Excel compatible
4. Change the ”TEST ME” button text to “RUN MACRO”
5. Why does the code: “^DJI” return “File not found” error, followed by “Type Mismatch” error box?
6. When beginning macro run please clear the error messages in row L from previous run.
7. Get rid of the Hyper-Links
8. In the Stock Codes sheet I want to insert a column to the right of CODE called TYPE. The text entered here will then be pasted in Data1 in the column currently designated Open. Therefore headings in Data1 will now be:
‘Record’ ‘Date’ ‘TYPE’ ‘High’ ‘Low’ ‘Close’ ‘Volume’ ‘Adj Close’ ‘CODE’
9. Have a new sheet called “Export”. In this sheet I want to be able to specify a Workbook, Sheet name and starting cell (e.g. A92) and a macro button to copy the Data1 outputs from (currently) A2 to last cell and paste them into the specified location. (Is this possible?).
